They said that I am a feisty, determined, and a purpose-driven woman who believes deeply in giving my best in everything I do. My passion for service and community is rooted in my upbringing, and I am proud to serve as the Vice-President of the Lucia Lamour Foundation. I carry my mother, Lucia Lamour, and my family’s values with me in all that I undertake.

In April 2019, while vacationing in Haiti, I felt called to contribute something meaningful to the Sisters Missionary of the Immaculate Conception School in Trou Du Nord my alma-mater. What began as a simple inquiry about building a computer room soon transformed into the construction of a full auditorium, with six new classrooms, and an office for the principal. Thanks to the school’s urgent needs and Sister Wilnise Noël’s persistence. For me, leaving a legacy has never been about recognition; it has always been about impact. That project marked only the beginning.

Sharing with others is at the core of who I am. My personal motto is simple: when you give, you receive, and you are blessed. I strive to live this truth every day. I am not one to judge; instead, I choose to see what is possible and to lead with compassion, generosity, vision and wisdoms.

During the 2020 Summer Olympics, I dreamed of giving the children of Trou Du Nord an opportunity few would ever imagine; sending them to compete in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. For the past few years, the foundation has been training a team in Haiti with that goal in mind. Believing in children and their potential is one of my greatest joys.

I am fortunate to have the unwavering support of my husband, Dr. Carmel Barrau. Together, we are committed philanthropists who work to uplift our communities and inspire others to believe in what they can achieve. My resilience and determination guide me in everything I do, and I am humbled to know that the growth and success of the Lucia Lamour Foundation in Trou Du Nord reflect the heart I put into this mission.

My journey continues, fueled by gratitude, purpose, and the belief that every act of giving creates a ripple of hope.
